[BRIEFING.COM] The major indices have settled into narrow trading ranges, occupying space near their best levels of the session. The mega-cap stocks are the main drivers of today's gains, yet the participation has been, and continues to be, broad-based.
25 of the Dow's 30 components are higher for the session.
The biggest percentage gainers among the 30 are Salesforce (CRM 264.70, +7.77, +3.02%), Goldman Sachs (GS 1033.11, +28.69, +2.86%), Microsoft (MSFT 510.73, +13.91, +2.80%), Walmart (WMT 108.96, +2.87, +2.70%), and Travelers (TRV 375.97, +9.79, +2.67%). The biggest losers—and it is a stretch to call them that—are McDonald's (MCD 259.06, -1.90, -0.73%) and 3M (MMM 167.93, -0.82, -0.49%).
Notably, Salesforce, including today's gain, is up 81% from its June low.
