[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (-0.65%) is in second place this afternoon, down about 51 points.

Briefly, S&P 500 constituents Paychex (PAYX 106.24, -8.29, -7.24%), AppLovin (APP 314.41, -14.32, -4.36%), and Zimmer Biomet (ZBH 90.06, -3.92, -4.17%) pepper the bottom of the standings. PAYX slides after management said FY27 revenue growth of 5%-6% and adjusted EPS growth of 7%-9% are expected, with Management Solutions trending toward the low end of guidance, overshadowing an in-line revenue quarter and modest EPS beat, while ZBH is weaker after a boutique firm said ortho market trends were sluggish Q3-to-date.

Meanwhile, CrowdStrike (CRWD 261.76, +11.70, +4.68%) is today's top performer, helped by growing AI-security concerns, with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang's highlighting of CRWD as a key cybersecurity partner adding to the bullish backdrop.
