[BRIEFING.COM] The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite (+1.61%) is up about 419 points, leading the major averages.
Gold futures settled $12.20 higher (+0.3%) at $4,399.70/oz, as easing oil prices, lower Treasury yields and a softer dollar helped offset the Fed's rate hike and hawkish outlook. The move also reflected position-squaring after the widely anticipated Fed decision and reduced inflation concerns as crude prices retreated.
Meanwhile, the U.S. Dollar Index is down less than -0.1% to $100.25.
