[BRIEFING.COM] The major averages remain higher at midday, though the gains of the S&P 500 (+0.6%) and Nasdaq Composite (+1.2%) are considerably firmer than that of the DJIA (+0.1%).
First Solar (FSLR 254.74, +10.60, +4.34%)and other solar names sport gains today after President Trump signed a proclamation that puts a 15% ad valorem tariff on derivative products that are downstream of polysilicon to encourage the onshoring of these industries.
