[BRIEFING.COM] The DJIA (-0.8%) continues to chart session lows while some lingering strength in technology softens the losses of the S&P 500 (-0.1%) and Nasdaq Composite (-0.1%).
Crude oil futures settled today's session $2.09 higher (+2.8%) at $77.27 per barrel, contributing to a less supportive backdrop for stocks today. In addition to earlier reports that Houthi forces attacked a Saudi tanker in the Red Sea, Reuters reported that a draft version of the U.S.-Iran deal, which will be voted on in the Iranian parliament, calls for a ban on U.S. and Israel-linked vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
