While earnings have been the key driver of today's action, tomorrow could see focus shift back toward macro drivers as Fed Chair Kevin Warsh delivers his keynote address at the Jackson Hole Symposium.
Earlier today, Cleveland Fed President Beth Hammack (voting FOMC member) told CNBC that inflation has been running above target for several years and she believes now is the time for the Fed to act. The CME FedWatch tool currently assigns a 33.9% probability to a 25-basis point rate hike at the September FOMC meeting, down from 36.6% yesterday.
