[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (+0.6%), Nasdaq Composite (+1.3%), and DJIA (+0.3%) now trade higher across the board, as gains in the Dow's tech components widen enough to overshadow broad weakness in the rest of the market.

Salesforce (CRM 249.84, +44.22, +21.51%) is the top-performing component of both the Dow and the S&P 500 after reporting its Q2 (Jul) results last night. Non-GAAP EPS came in well above expectations, although the quarter included a $2.53 per-share benefit from gains on strategic investments, while revenue increased 11% year-over-year and in CC to $11.35 billion, roughly in line with expectations. More importantly, CRM delivered encouraging forward demand indicators, including accelerating cRPO growth, stronger net new AOV, continued Agentforce and Slack momentum, and additional support for management's expected second-half organic revenue reacceleration.
