[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (+0.7%), Nasdaq Composite (+1.4%), and DJIA (+0.3%) remain near their session highs as strong gains in technology stocks continue to outweigh rotational weakness in the broader market.
HP Inc. (HPQ 29.02, -1.50, -4.91%), however, is trading sharply lower despite beating Q3 earnings and revenue expectations and guiding Q4 adjusted EPS above consensus, as investors focus on weakening PC unit demand, rising component costs, and the temporary benefits embedded in reported profitability. The selloff appears to reflect concern that headline revenue growth is increasingly dependent on price increases as units contract and higher-cost inventory reaches the income statement, overshadowing HPQ's strong $1.6 billion of Q3 free cash flow and its increase in FY26 free-cash-flow guidance to $3.0-$3.2 billion.
