[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (-0.2%), Nasdaq Composite (-0.4%), and DJIA (-0.3%) are charting session lows just after midday.
The energy sector (+1.2%) is now the best-performing S&P 500 sector after Bloomberg reported that Iran and Oman have agreed on a revenue-sharing agreement for traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, though a spokesperson for the IRGC said the U.S. is still preventing the strait from being reopened. WTI crude was down near the $80 per barrel mark this morning before the open, but is now $0.74 (+0.9%) higher at $83.10 per barrel.
