GC00-USA gold settled today's session $110.50 higher (+2.4%) at $4,680.10 per ozt, adding to strength in the materials sector (+2.3%) which is one of just three S&P 500 sectors that holds a week-to-date gain. FCX remains one of the best-performing S&P 500 components today.
