WTI crude oil is currently up $5.20 (+6.6%) to $84.48 per barrel amid renewed hostilities in the Middle East. President Trump told Fox News reporter Trey Yingst on the phone that the U.S. "will be hitting Iran hard" after Iran launched missiles at U.S. forces in the Middle East.
Additionally, The Wall Street Journal reported that Iran rejected Oman's proposal to secure the Strait of Hormuz.
