[BRIEFING.COM] With about two hours to go on Monday the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite (-0.37%) is in last place, down about 93 points.
Gold futures settled $4.10 higher (+0.1%) at $4,074.90/oz, as a weaker U.S. dollar and expectations the Federal Reserve will hold interest rates steady this week supported demand for bullion. Investors also looked ahead to this week's PCE inflation report for additional clues on the outlook for monetary policy.
Meanwhile, the U.S. Dollar Index is up less than $101.51.
