Oil surges as U.S. and Iran exchanged renewed threats

[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (flat), Nasdaq Composite (-0.3%), and DJIA (+0.1%) are off their best levels, but still relatively unchanged as the market enters the final hour of the session.

Crude oil futures settled today's session $1.86 higher (+2.2%) at $86.85 per barrel. CBS News reports that Iranian Parliament leader Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf threatened that "no infrastructure will be safe" in the region if President Trump follows through on his threat to bomb an Iranian bridge or power plant for each ship Iran targets in the Strait of Hormuz.
