Dow Rises Modestly Behind NVIDIA, Boeing Strength
Dow +70.91 at 52295.55, Nasdaq -37.20 at 25821.01, S&P +6.89 at 7516.09

[BRIEFING.COM] The Dow Jones Industrial Average (+0.14%) is in first place on Wednesday afternoon, up about 70 points.

A look inside the DJIA shows that NVIDIA (NVDA 213.59, +6.30, +3.01%), Boeing (BA 208.67, +3.87, +1.89%), and Johnson & Johnson (JNJ 254.67, +4.06, +1.62%) are some of today's top gain getters.

Meanwhile, Salesforce (CRM 163.00, -7.06, -4.15%) is solidly lower.

The DJIA is now +0.29% higher week-to-date.

Elsewhere, U.S. Treasuries hover just above session lows that were reached in mid-morning trade, having spent the past couple hours in a sideways range. Longer tenors have faced some impulse selling in immediate reaction to today's $13 bln 20-yr bond reopening, which met ok, but not great demand. The sale drew a high yield of 5.163%, which tailed the when-issued yield by half of a basis point, but the bid-to-cover ratio (2.64x vs 2.65x) was close to average while indirect takedown (69.1%) was a bit better than average (64.7%), somewhat making up for the headline miss.
