[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (-0.1%), Nasdaq Composite (+0.2%), and DJIA (-0.5%) are now mostly lower with just over half an hour left in the session.

Mega-cap tech names continue to give back their earlier strength, against a backdrop of rising oil prices and Treasury yields.

Crude oil futures settled today's session $0.92 higher (+1.1%) at $82.59 per barrel.

Rising Treasury yields put pressure on rate-sensitive pockets of the market, including homebuilders, with the iShares U.S. Home Construction ETF down 2.0%. D.R. Horton (DHI 144.75, -4.64, -3.11%) reports earnings tomorrow morning, with the stock under pressure, down about 11% since the end of June and trading below its 50-day and 200-day averages.
