Crude oil futures settled today's session $0.98 higher (+1.3%) at $79.40 per barrel, with CNBC reporting that the U.S. has continued to strike targets in Iran this afternoon.
The energy sector (+0.1%) is flattish today, though yesterday's 3% surge helps it remain the best-performing S&P 500 sector so far in July (+6.9% month-to-date).
