Gold Slips 1.4% as Risk Sentiment Improves and Yields Rise
Dow +384.65 at 52260.76, Nasdaq +463.62 at 25782.23, S&P +81.34 at 7435.36

[BRIEFING.COM] The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite (+1.83%) is in first place on Monday afternoon, up about 463 points.

Gold futures settled $57.40 lower (-1.4%) at $4,038.90/oz, as easing geopolitical tensions, including renewed U.S./Iran negotiations, reduced safe-haven demand for bullion. At the same time, a firmer dollar, higher Treasury yields, and expectations that the Fed will maintain a restrictive policy stance further pressured prices ahead of key U.S. labor data.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Dollar Index is down -0.3% to $101.10.
