United Airlines' (UAL 119.28, +0.96, +0.81%' first transatlantic widebody customer flight equipped with SpaceX's (SPCX 158.79, -26.21, -14.17%) Starlink is set to take off today.
This will be the first of nearly 60 United widebody aircraft expected to have Starlink this year. United expects to have its entire widebody fleet outfitted by next summer as the airline expands Starlink's high-speed, reliable internet across its fleet. United is the largest airline across both the Atlantic and Pacific and will leverage Starlink, the world's most advanced satellite network. More than 400 United planes have Starlink today, and the airline expects to have close to 1,000 Starlink-equipped aircraft before the end of this year
