[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (+0.4%), Nasdaq Composite (+0.7%), and DJIA (+0.1%) are back in positive territory, making it a clean sweep of record intraday highs for the major averages today.
President Trump said earlier on Truth Social that "Talks are continuing, at a rapid pace, with the Islamic Republic of Iran." The commentary helped oil move off its highs for the session, with crude oil futures settling today's session $4.77 higher (+5.5%) at $92.19 per barrel.
Participation remains relatively weak, though the information technology sector (+2.6%) has widened its gain for the day.
