[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (-0.4%), Nasdaq Composite (-0.2%), and DJIA (-0.6%) remain lower as the market enters the final hour of the session.
The IGV remains % higher as software names continue to outperform, but weakness across semiconductors and other components finally pushed the information technology sector (-0.1%) below its flatline.
A senior Iranian official told Iran's state broadcaster that the U.S. will not be able to reopen the Strait of Hormuz with an unrealistic plan. Crude oil futures settled today's session $0.33 lower (-0.4%) at $94.89 per barrel, and have since moved higher toward the $96 per barrel mark.
