[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (+1.7%), Nasdaq Composite (+1.9%), and DJIA (+2.0%) ar off their session lows as the market enters the final hour of the session.
U.S. Interior Secretary Doug Burgum told CNBC that there is engagement with Iran about a possible solution going forward. Though accounts of negotiations have varied (and in some cases been outright denied by Iranian officials), it seems that the market holds the belief that there are discussions happening at some level, which has helped ease energy prices and driven some rebound action across stocks today.
On a related note, crude oil futures settled today's session $9.93 lower (-10.1%) at $88.19 per barrel.
