Stock Market Update

[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (+0.4%), Nasdaq Composite (+0.5%), and DJIA (+0.3%) remain little changed from previous levels as the market enters the final hour of the session. 

Amazon (AMZN 214.54, +2.80, +1.32%) continues to be a mega-cap standout, rising to session highs after Reuters reported that CEO Andy Jassy expects that AI will double AWS projections to $600 billion by 2036. 

Amazon holds a 7.1% loss year to date, which is nearly identical to the Vanguard Mega Cap Growth ETF (-7.0%) over the same time period. The stock faced pressure last month after issuing an aggressive capital expenditure plan with its earnings release.
