[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (-1.0%), Nasdaq Composite (-1.7%), and DJIA (-0.4%) are making a move back toward session lows at midday.
Losses are beginning to expand and widen throughout the broader market. The S&P 500 Equal Weighted Index now sits on its flatline after just recently holding a solid gain.
The consumer discretionary sector (-0.8%) is now near the bottom of today's leaderboard. Despite a majority of its components trading higher and solid gains across travel-related names, losses in Tesla (TSLA 406.00, -11.40, -2.73%) and Amazon (AMZN 207.21, -3.43, -1.63%) weigh down the sector.
Elsewhere, the materials sector (-0.7%) is also at its worst levels, with Albemarle (ALB 183.95, -11.92, -6.09%) giving back the entirety of yesterday's advance and then some.
