[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (+0.7%), Nasdaq Composite (+1.1%), and DJIA (+0.3%) continue to chart session highs this afternoon, with the Nasdaq Composite notching a fresh all-time high today.
While mega-caps remain an important contributor to today's advance, and NVIDIA (NVDA 239.09, +5.14, +2.20%) is among the gainers, the broader semiconductor group remains mixed, with the PHLX Semiconductor Index flat for the day.
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSM 486.15, +13.37, +2.83%) is a standout, reaching fresh 52-week highs after Elon Musk said there are talks about possibly utilizing the company for Terafab's Texas chip project, a headline which has in turn weighed on Intel (INTC 116.60, -2.72, -2.28%).
