[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (flat), Nasdaq Composite (-0.3%), and DJIA (+0.4%) continue to move in a tight range as headlines remain relatively quiet today.
While the consumer discretionary sector (-0.5%) is a laggard today, EBAY is the best-performing S&P 500 stock, rising toward its record high from May (119.31) after Morgan Stanley named eBay (EBAY 116.76, +4.57, +4.07%) its Top Pick and raised its price target from $127 to $132, citing Live Commerce growth and estimating it drives ~40% of growth.
Meanwhile, Lumentum (LITE 994.88, -108.47, -9.83%) and Ciena (CIEN 408.50, -41.27, -9.18%) are the index's worst performers as AI infrastructure names lag alongside semiconductor stocks today.
