[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (-0.6%), Nasdaq Composite (-1.4%) and DJIA (-0.2%) are little changed from previous levels as the market enters the final hour of the session.
Eight S&P 500 sectors now trade higher, though weakness in the information technology sector (-2.8%) keeps pressure on the major averages.
Investors will have another sizable round of earnings reports to assess after the close including results from Sandisk (SNDK 544.11, +16.48, +3.12%). Shares have been red-hot, trading at record highs and up a staggering 160% since early December. The surge is fueled by a massive recovery in memory pricing and the explosive demand for high-capacity SSDs required for AI training and inference.
