The consumer discretionary sector (-0.5%) is now among the worst-performing S&P 500 sectors today as Amazon (AMZN 242.00, -2.68, -1.10%) widens its loss. Tesla (TSLA 433.68, +2.78, +0.65%) is showing resilience ahead of its earnings report after the close.
Meanwhile, the information technology sector (+0.2%) has seen the bulk of its early gain eroded as Apple (AAPL 255.26, -3.01, -1.17%) and Microsoft (MSFT 478.94, -1.64, -0.34%) trade lower ahead of their own earnings reports.
The Vanguard Mega Cap ETF is now down 0.5%, reversing its earlier gain.
