Stock Market Update

[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (flat), Nasdaq Composite (+0.3%), and DJIA (flat) remain flattish with just half an hour left in the session. 

Market focus now turns to another sizable batch of earnings reports after the close. Among the names reporting are Meta Platforms (META 671.44, -1.53, -0.23%), Microsoft (MSFT 479.77, -0.81, -0.17%), and Tesla (TSLA 434.58, +3.68, +0.85%). The mega-caps have performed well in recent sessions, helping the S&P 500 push to record highs yesterday and notch another intraday record this morning before retreating. However, the group has come under a touch of pressure today, though the Vanguard Mega Cap Growth ETF (-0.1%) is considerably improved from earlier session lows.
