This morning's batch of earnings reports has been a mixed bag so far for airline names. American Airlines (AAL 15.05, +0.48, +3.3%) trades higher despite missing EPS expectations by $0.21. The company reported revenues in-line, and guided Q1 EPS in-line with revenues above consensus, while guiding FY26 EPS in-line.
Meanwhile, JetBlue Airways (JBLU 4.81, -0.27, -5.3%) trades sharply lower after missing EPS expectations by $0.03 and beating on revenues. The company issues outlook for 1Q26 and FY26, and sees FY26 adjusted operating margin of breakeven or better.
Additionally, Bloomberg reports that airlines have had to cut more flights due to the winter storm.
