Stock Market Update

[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (-0.3%), Nasdaq Composite (-0.3%), and DJIA (-0.6%) trade lower today as mega-cap tech lags. 

The Vanguard Mega Cap Growth ETF is now down 0.7%, with several names in the information technology (-0.5%) and consumer discretionary (-0.6%) sectors contributing to the weakness. 

Despite a 0.9% gain in the PHLX Semiconductor Index, the technology sector trades lower, with considerable weakness in Microsoft (MSFT 467.02, -10.16, -2.13%). NVIDIA (NVDA 184.14, -0.80, -0.43%) holds a more modest loss, while Apple (AAPL 259.64, -0.61, -0.23%) is flattish.

Meanwhile, Amazon (AMZN 243.38, -3.09, -1.25%) also lags while Tesla (TSLA 448.29, -0.67, -0.15%) moves lower after an early gain
