Stock Market Update

[BRIEFING.COM] Mega-cap names continue to do the heavy lifting that has the S&P 500 (+0.2%) and Nasdaq Composite (+0.6%) in positive territory, while the DJIA (-0.1%) trades lower. 

NVIDIA (NVDA 169.80, +2.78, +1.67%) is off to a strong start after a rocky couple of weeks that followed the company's earnings report. On Friday, the stock moved below and closed beneath its 50-day moving average at the time (172.06), though today's early rebound has it just 1.6% beneath its current 50-day moving average (172.56). 

Meta Platforms (META 760.65, +8.20, +1.09%) and Amazon (AMZN 234.22, +1.90, +0.82%) are among the other magnificent seven names with healthy early gains.

The Vanguard Mega Cap Growth ETF is up 0.8%, and the market-weighted S&P 500 (+0.2%) outpaces the S&P 500 Equal Weighted Index (-0.6%).
