Stock Market Update

[BRIEFING.COM] New session highs for the S&P 500 (+0.3%) put the index in positive week-to-date territory, while the Nasdaq Composite (+0.3%) and DJIA (+0.3%) also trade at session highs.

The major averages continue to fluctuate in tandem with changes in the information technology sector (-0.1%), which has seen its loss considerably thinned. 

An improvement in the communication services sector (+0.4%) adds support, with Meta Platforms (META 754.47, +17.42, +2.36%) and Netflix (NFLX 1249.86, +23.68, +1.93%) mitigating a loss in Alphabet (GOOG 228.16, -2.94, -1.27%) after yesterday's rally.
