[BRIEFING.COM] The Nasdaq Composite (+0.5%) set a new all-time high in this morning's opening action, while the S&P 500 (+0.3%) and DJIA (+0.3%) trade just beneath their own record levels.
Broad strength is behind the index level gains, as nine S&P 500 sectors trade higher, with only the energy (-0.5%) and financials (-0.2%) sectors lagging.
The consumer discretionary sector (+0.8%) leads the advancers, reclaiming yesterday's loss thanks to a strong start from Tesla (TSLA 427.69, +10.84, +2.60%).
The information technology sector (+0.8%) also sees early strength in some of its largest names, though early weakness from chipmakers stifles further gains and pushes the PHLX Semiconductor Index down 1.0%.
