A look inside the DJIA shows that Apple (AAPL 245.11, +7.23, +3.04%), Amgen (AMGN 284.33, +8.50, +3.08%), and Visa (V 340.81, +2.63, +0.78%) are among today's top gain getters.
Meanwhile, Walt Disney (DIS 112.64, -2.22, -1.93%) is underperforming.
The DJIA is poised to end the week +0.96% higher.
Elsewhere, at the top of the hour, Baker Hughes (BKR 46.77, -0.51, -1.08%) announced a weekly U.S. rotary rig count of 542, +3 w/w and -46 yr/yr.
