Health care sector lags

[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (+0.5%) and Nasdaq Composite (+0.5%) continue to trade near session (and record) highs, while the DJIA (-0.4%) widens its loss today. 

The health care sector (-0.8%) is among the worst-performing S&P 500 sectors so far, facing pressure in the majority of its components. Pharmaceutical names such as Johnson & Johnson (JNJ 175.52, -1.44, -0.81%), Merck (MRK 83.94, -0.66, -0.79%), and Amgen (AMGN 276.68, -3.29, -1.18%) trade lower following reports that the Trump administration seeks to restrict pharmaceutical advertising on TV.

Advertising names lower today include Interpublic (IPG 25.80, -0.80, -2.99%), Publicis (PUBGY 24.30, -0.42, -1.70%), and Omnicom (OMC 75.40, -2.32, -2.99%).
