[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (+0.2%) came within half a point of its all-time high level (6,481.34) as the market continues to trade in a steady fashion.
Breadth figures denote the relatively strong buying interest, with advancers outpacing decliners by a 7-to-5 margin on the NYSE and a 7-to-6 ratio on the Nasdaq.
Only the communication services sector (-0.3%) currently holds a loss, as the sector faces pressure in some of its largest components, Meta Platforms (META 745.72, -8.38, -1.11%) and Netflix (NFLX 1217.73, -8.36, -0.68%).
Meanwhile, shares of Alphabet (GOOG 208.13, +0.18, +0.09%) trade just above its flatline.
