[BRIEFING.COM] The major averages trade in a relatively tight range just beneath session highs as the market approaches midday.
Stocks have overwhelmingly advanced in response to bolstered expectations of a September rate cut, with ten S&P 500 sectors continuing to advance as the major averages all post gains over 1.0%.
Treasuries have also seen some impressive gains following Fed Chair Powell's address this morning. The 2-year note yield is down ten basis points to 3.69%, and the 10-year note yield is down seven basis points to 4.26%.
