Advancers outpace decliners by a roughly 7-to-6 margin on the NYSE and Nasdaq, while five S&P 500 sectors trade at or above their baselines.
Smaller-cap stocks continue to be a point of relative strength within the market, as the Russell 2000 (+0.4%) outperforms.
Separately, the S&P 500 Equal Weighted Index (+0.2%) outperforms the market-weighted S&P 500 (flat).
