Stock Market Update

[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (-0.2%), Nasdaq Composite (-0.2%), and DJIA (-0.4%) hover just above session lows from this morning's open. 

A lack of headlines has kept the focus on this morning's July PPI release, resulting in a broad-based retreat across eight S&P 500 sectors. 

Earnings reports from yesterday afternoon and this morning have done little to sway the broader market, though Cisco (CSCO 69.05, -1.35, -1.91%), Deere (DE 476.50, -37.04, -7.21%), and Advance Auto (AAP 55.98, -5.83, -9.43%) all trade lower in response to earnings. 

Electronic Arts (EA 179.99, +1.59, +0.89%) trades higher following today's launch of Madden NFL 26, contributing to the outperformance of the communication services sector (+0.8%).
