The stock market is on track for a slightly higher opening as the S&P 500 futures trade eight points above fair value.
Futures were down for most of the overnight session but have risen slowly in response to optimistic developments to yesterday's trade deal headlines, with President Trump officially extending the deadline to negotiate a deal with the U.S. from July 9 to August 1.
Additionally, reports suggest that the EU and India are close to striking deals with the U.S.
Nonetheless, the markets will undoubtedly pay attention to further trade developments throughout the day as their is little economic data of note to be reported and only one earnings report after the close.
