[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (+0.58%) is in second place on Monday afternoon, up about 36 points.
Briefly, S&P 500 constituents Hershey (HSY 177.90, +6.61, +3.86%), Newmont Corporation (NEM 60.30, +2.11, +3.63%), and Qualcomm (QCOM 159.71, +4.91, +3.17%) pepper the top of the standings. HSY pops on strength in cocoa futures, NEM is one of a handful of gold mining stocks higher today owing to strength in the yellow metal, while QCOM caught a target bump and favorable commentary from UBS this morning.
Meanwhile, EQT Corp. (EQT 54.61, -4.58, -7.74%) is today's top laggard, likely due in part to falling crude oil prices.
