The stock market is on track for a modestly higher opening to a busy week of earnings reports that will see several mega-cap names report Q2 earnings.
Economic data releases are slim this week, with the market anticipating Existing Home Sales for June and New Home Sales for June on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively, before Durable Orders on Friday.
Fedspeak will also be quiet this week, as it is within the blackout period before the July meeting. The Wall Street Journal reported this morning that Treasury Secretary Bessent talked President Trump out of firing Fed Chair Powell.
Treasuries are up this morning, with the 10-year note yield down six basis points at 4.37%.
