Stock Market Update

[BRIEFING.COM] The major averages remain relatively stable, as the Nasdaq Composite (+0.2%) maintains a modest gain while the S&P 500 and DJIA hover at their unchanged levels. 

President Trump has stated that Senate Majority Leader John Thune is coming to the White House today to discuss the Senate Russia sanctions bill that allows President Trump to impose up to 500% tariffs on any country that buys Russian oil. The market has been largely unphased by tariff headlines involving Russia today.

Sector strength remains mixed, and breadth figures have changed little in the past hour as the market remains in wait-and-see mode for more impactful releases to come this week.
