Stock Market Update

[BRIEFING.COM] The major averages track within a relatively tight range, with the S&P 500 currently down 0.1%.

The financials sector (+0.5%) is among the top performers today, ahead of a wave of earnings results this week.

Shares of JPMorgan Chase (JPM 287.42, +0.74, +0.3%), Wells Fargo (WFC 82.80, +0.28, +0.3%), BlackRock (BLK 1104.83, +3.19, +0.3%), and Citigroup (C 86.72, +0.02, +0.0%) are all up slightly ahead of their earnings reports that will come out before the open tomorrow. 

The market has been relatively stable this morning in anticipation of tomorrow's earnings reports and the release of June CPI data.
