Stock Market Update

The stock market is on track for a slightly lower opening with the S&P 500 futures trading two points below fair value.

Initial jobless claims for the week ending July 5 decreased by 5,000 to 227,000 (Briefing.com consensus 245,000) from a revised 232,000 (from 233,000)

Continuing jobless claims for the week ending June 28 increased 10,000 1.965 million, from last week's downwardly revised 1.955 million (from 1.964 million).
