[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 has been engaged in a mostly lateral trade since the open, which has left it close to the 6,000 level. Even so, market internals continue to reflect a slight positive bias in today's trade.
Advancers lead decliners by an 8-to-5 margin at the NYSE and by a roughly 4-to-3 margin at the Nasdaq.
There hasn't been a lot of movement among the large-cap stocks as a class, but there are some notable outliers in that respect.
Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD 10.52, +0.70, +7.18%) is getting a nice boost after announcing it will split into two publicly traded companies; Qualcomm (QCOM 155.12, +5.88, +3.94%) is up after announcing the acquisition of Alphawave IP Group; and NVIDIA (NVDA 143.32, +1.61, +1.14%) has continued its post-earnings report charge.
Separately, Apple (AAPL 204.56, +0.64, +0.32%) is tracking higher as it gets ready to kick off its Worldwide Developers Conference.
