[BRIEFING.COM] The stock market opened to gains this morning, pushing the S&P 500 (+0.2%) further into record territory from Friday's highs. With the early advances, the S&P 500 and NASDAQ Composite are both up 5.2% year-to-date.
The financials sector (+0.8%) leads the way following news that all 22 banks that were evaluated passed the Fed's stress test.
In economic data, the Chicago PMI for June was reported at 40.4 (Briefing.com consensus 43.4) down from a prior unrevised level of 40.5 in May.
