[BRIEFING.COM] The major averages trade on their highs, having spent the entire first half of the session in a slow rise off their opening levels.
Only three sectors remain in negative territory, and those three have recovered a big chunk of their early losses. Like yesterday, the Dow (+0.4%) trades behind the S&P 500 (+0.6%) due to weakness in some of its largest components like Visa (V 364.12, -1.20, -0.3%), McDonald's (MCD 312.45, -0.23, -0.1%), and UnitedHealth (UNH 300.75, -3.97, -1.3%).
Unlike stocks, Treasuries have spent the day in a steady slide from their early highs with the 10-yr yield now up one basis point at 4.47% after marking a low at 4.41% at the start of today's session.
