[BRIEFING.COM] The major averages are back near their best levels of the session after a brief dip from highs over the past hour. This makes for a continuation of this month's show of resilience with the market resisting selling efforts regardless of the cited catalyst for short-lived profit taking.
The S&P 500 (+0.6%) and Nasdaq (+0.5%) have reached fresh record highs while the Dow (+0.9%) outperforms today, but the price-weighted average still has another 3.0% to go before returning to its own record high from December.
Treasuries have backpedaled from their morning highs with the 10-yr yield now up three basis points at 4.28% after the 10-yr note found resistance near yesterday's high.
