[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (unch) is staying right above its unchanged level after backpedaling from its opening high.
Despite the pullback from highs, there are now four sectors trading in the green after the day started with just two groups in positive territory. That said, today's leaders—technology (+0.8%) and communication services (+0.7%)—have dipped from their best levels of the day.
The price-weighted Dow (-0.2%) has spent the entire first half of the day in negative territory with more than half of its components trading lower, including highly-priced listings like Caterpillar (CAT 371.42, -1.60, -0.43%), Visa (V 348.20, -3.44, -0.98%), and UnitedHealth (UNH 302.65, -2.97, -0.97%).
